Car # 19

Was a 1960 Mecedes Benz 220 SEB Sedan. A fine car that was a

real pleasure to own and drive except for the maintenance. As with

all Mercedes, when it comes to maintenance, they're a pain in the butt!

Notice the NEW YORK LIFE insurance sign on the side. This is where

my financial career began. (click on photo for enlargement)

I painted this one to match my 60 Mercedes 190 SL roadster, so I had a

matching pair. I've got a photo of them together somewhere but I just haven't

found it yet. This was my work car and the SL roadster was my weekend car.

Car # 20

Was a 1967 Mustang GT Convertible, with a Big Block

390 V-8 and automatic. It was great fun except when it snowed

in Denver. Not the easiest car to handle on slick ice!

I didn't keep this one long, some fool offered me an insane

amount of money for it so I let him have it. I think I sold it

for $1,800. Boy what a fool. (me not him.) HA! Oh well!

Car # 21

I needed a good car for the snow and ice in Denver, so I bought

this 1967 Cadillac Eldorado. It was a wonderful car but what

a boat it was. It seemed a mile long. But I liked it anyway.

Car # 22

Eventually, I changed to a more economical form of transportation

and I went to the other end of the spectrum, as you can see.

Gas prices were becoming a major issue in those days.

A 1968 VW BUG!
