My First Corvette, Car # 16
a Red 1965 Corvette Fast-Back, Sting-Ray
(November 29, 1970)
327-350 h.p. 4 Speed

I had given up my photography career and gone it the insurance business by now.

I had just painted it- Candy Apple Red Metal Flake and was rubbing out the paint job.
As you can see I had also changed the wheels from the stock knock-offs to some
after market wheels. If I had only known then what I know now! Oh well!
As best I can remember, I think I sold this Vette to someone for about $2,500
when I got rid of it. This was the first car I ever auto-crossed while living in
Denver, Colorado.
Here is my # 17 Car
a 1927 T-Bucket that I built from the ground up. Including welding the frame
together myself. I did it all! 327-350 horse with a powerglide trany.

I built this one before the days of when you could buy all the pieces to a T-bucket
together. I had to make everything myself. It turned out ok but not one of my most
favorite cars. But it sure burned the tires easy! Ha! It was a lot of fun.
Car # 18
a 1960 Mercedes 190 SL Sport Roadster w/both tops!

I didn't like the mousy tan color so I painted it myself in a friends shop.
